Lydia was predeceased by her parents, Joseph & Christina Schafer; husband Sam Hewitt; siblings, Rose Schultz, Joseph Schafer, John Schafer and Theresa McMurdo.
Lydia will be forever loved by her son, Richard (Judy) and their family, Chris (MarieEve Laroque), Kevin and his family, Brooklyn, Skyra & Chase; Janet Hewitt (James Falconer); son, David Hewitt ( Rod Revet) and family, Henri (Rika de La Garde) & son, Leo de La Garde, Joel Hewitt (Jocelyn Stockwell), Samantha Hewitt; daughter, Diane Hewitt; son, Curtis (Dodie) and their family, Amanda Hewitt (Tyler Adin) & daughter Melody; Christina (Andrew) MacLellan & daughter, Sloane; Bradley Hewitt (Estephania Zarzas); step daughter Melanie McDonald; daughter, Carol (Gerard) Charanduk and their family, Matthew (Madiey) Charanduk and Andrew (Allyssa) Charanduk as well as other relatives, nieces, nephews & friends.
The Rosary will be prayed on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. and Prayers will be said after the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn, Saskatchewan.
A Mass Of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn, Saskatchewan with Father Valentine Amobi presiding. Duane Schultz gave the eulogy.

Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Honourary Pallbearers are all of Lydia's grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral lunch and fellowship followed at the Wheatland Senior Centre.
