George grew up in the St. Colette district near Radville, SK. He was a career farmer at a very young age. He attended Lacadia school and was known to run home after classes just to get back to the farm as fast as he could. Farming was everything to George; he had great respect for land and animals. This never wavered, right to the end of his life. He and Eileen enjoyed many winters in Arizona; they were so fortunate to have that time together and escape the prairie winters.
