Donald “Clair” was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Elsie; siblings, Velma (Ralph) Campbell; Charles (Olivia) Dammann, Leroy (1st wife Eileen, 2nd wife Enid Stewart) Dammann; as well as Janet’s parents: Ross and Amelia McLeod.
Donald is survived and fondly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Janet (McLeod), along with his daughters: Linda (Roger) Volkerink, Diane (Tod) Kasten, and Lori (Scott) Thomson; grandchildren: Kelsey (Jim) Crockett, Loren (Brady) Jensen and Ryan (Liliana Urbina) Kasten; and great grandchildren: Boone, Beau and Brynlee Crockett; as well as his extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Born and growing up in the Weyburn community, Don attended Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana where he met his future wife Janet Carol McLeod of Plentywood, Montana. After graduating in 1962 with a Mechanical Engineering degree, Don and Janet began their married life in Saskatchewan. They moved to Edmonton, Alberta in 1968. Donald was a caring husband and proud father who valued his friends and family. He will be forever missed by all who knew him.
A Graveside Service & Interment will take place on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Lunch to follow at Cecilia’s Banquet Hall & Restaurant, 122 4th Street, Weyburn, Saskatchewan.
