Craig is predeceased by his parents, Douglas and Bonnie Beattie.
He is survived by the mother of his children and former spouse, Brenda Evans (John), his three children; Cory (Tamie) Beattie and their children Cole, Erica, Nicholas and Maguire; Nina (Gary) Ulmer and their children, Angus, Baron, and Morgan; and Jaret (Assunta) Beattie and their children Frank and Chiara; his sister, Jan (Jim) Keating and their children, Tara (Dave) Keating-Jaap, and Trenna (Alden) Keating-Adair as well as many cousins.
Raised in Weyburn, Craig graduated high school, and earned three journeyman tickets as carpenter, scaffolder and drywaller. Working for Swertz Bros. Construction in Weyburn and later going into business for himself as BT Construction Ltd, then moving to Edmonton, Alberta with his family where he continued his career in Industrial Construction, often travelling up north to Fort MacMurray. After retiring he joined the Lion’s Club and found time for fellowship.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 12:00 pm~1:00 pm at Fletcher Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, Saskatchewan. The Graveside Service & Interment will follow at 1:00 pm at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, Saskatchewan with Father Amado Canaveral celebrating. Lunch & Fellowship at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 47 ~ 1:30 pm, Weyburn, Saskatchewan.
The family would like to thank the doctors and medical staff at the Grey Nuns’ Hospital for their efforts to make Craig comfortable and for the spiritual connection they provided him.
In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to make a donation to any charity of their choice in memory of Craig.
