Scotland was his birth place, and home, until 1968 when he moved to Canada to continue with custom farm work. He enjoyed working with his hands, and making repairs to anything when needed, this kept him active and in the fields right up to his last year. Alistair also enjoyed fishing, attending auctions and socializing with friends. Despite his 42 years in Canada, he held on to his Scottish accent strongly and proudly to the end. He is survived by his son, Scottie.
