Olga Lydia Cage

Olga Lydia (Bermis) Cage was born on April 24, 1946 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter to Domingo Bermis and Carmen (Bonilla) Marty. She passed from this life on February 19, 2025 at her home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of 78.

Olga met her sweetheart, Edward Cage and they married in Hartford, Connecticut on December 29, 1984. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Olga not only cared for her own family, she also worked for The Hebrew Home as a CNA for 38 years, caring for those in need of physical help.

When she wasn’t caring for her family or nursing strangers back to health, you could find Olga cooking great meals or working on her flowers. Once Olga became dependent on being cared for, her stepdaughter Helen was there to hold her hand and guide her through daily tasks, loving her like she was her own mother.

Olga was a special lady and will be missed by those that were fortunate to have known her.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Cage, her children, Epifano Bernard, Jason Bernard, Sarah Cage, her grandchildren, Juliana, Cameron, Isaiah, Melissa, Hollie, LadyLee, Tiffany, Adrian James, step-children, Sheila Drungo, John Maleek Drungo, Carol Joyner, Maximilian "Mikey" Hollins, Edward Cage Jr., Helen Dyer, Thomas Cage and numerous step grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Olga was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Norberto "Petito" Marin.

A visitation for Olga will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, CT. A memorial service will occur Friday, February 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, CT. A burial will occur Friday, February 28, 2025 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave., Hartford, CT.
