Natalie B. (Auditore) Gineo, 93, of Wethersfield, beloved wife for 44 years of the late Antonio “Nino” Gineo, passed away peacefully with all her children by her side on Friday, December 18, 2015. Born in Boston, MA on Christmas Day in 1921, she was the daughter of the late Filippo and Maria (Arrao) Auditore. She moved to Italy with her family when she was eight years old. She taught school in Italy before returning to the U.S. in 1949, settling in Wethersfield with her husband in 1960. Natalie was a longtime faithful communicant of Corpus Christi Church. A dedicated wife and stay-at-home mom, her life revolved around her husband and their children. There was nothing she enjoyed more than cooking traditional Italian meals and having her family and friends gathered around the dinner table. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her six children, Matthew P. Gineo and wife Kathy of Newport, RI, Salvatore Gineo and his special friend Nancy Maloney of Wethersfield, Philip Gineo and wife Nan of Tolland, Joseph Gineo of Wethersfield, Frances Niemitz and husband Edward of Barkhamsted and Doreen Machovina and husband Scott of Olmsted Falls, OH; nine adored grandchildren, Sherri Nocera and husband Robert, Debra Beall and husband David, Michelle Niemitz, Lauren Walsh and husband Adam, Sofia Gineo, Andrew Gineo and fiancée Stephanie Chappe, Elizabeth Maloney, Matthew Gineo and Laura Rosenkrantz and Caroline Machovina. She is also survived by her five cherished great-grandchildren, Isabella and Cassie Nocera, Eric and Brendan Beall and Ben Walsh. In addition to her husband and parents, Natalie was predeceased by her sister, Santina Parisi. Natalie’s family would like to thank her home caregivers, Jackie and Therese.
Funeral services will leave Tuesday (December 22) at 9:15 a.m. from the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
