Michael “Mike” J. Goodman, 51, of Wethersfield, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Born in New Britain on June 17, 1967, he was the beloved son of Carol (Parisi) Goodman and the late John R. Goodman, Jr. Mike graduated from New England Technical School and worked as a technician in the HVAC industry. He was very handy and could fix almost anything. Mike was an avid sports fan, he especially loved the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed reading and was extremely knowledgeable about cars, having memorized countless details about make, model, specs etc. Mike was a kind-hearted man, always ready to help anyone, but most of all he loved being a father and grandfather. His daughters and grandchildren were the true light of his life.
Mike will be forever missed by his mother, Carol, and partner Frank Salvatore of Wethersfield; two daughters, Caroline Goodman and fiancé David Morrison of Hartford, and Victoria Goodman of Wethersfield, and his three adored grandchildren, Caleb, Logan and Autumn Morrison. They will miss their Pop-Pop very much. Mike is also survived by his brother, John Goodman, III and fiancée, April Burby of Newington; his sister, Lisa Goodman of Wethersfield; his aunt, Marie Amenta and husband Sal, who were also his Godparents, and his aunt, Dolores Parisi. In addition, Mike leaves his many cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (December 18) at 12:30 p.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will be private. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
