MaryAnn LeRoy, 68, of Wethersfield and Old Saybrook, unexpectedly passed into the arms of our Lord and her mother, Yolanda M. LeRoy, on December 7, 2010 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hartford, she was a graduate of Bulkeley High School, Class of 1961. After several years of being a hairdresser she changed her career to Chandler Evans. She recently retired from the State of Connecticut, Department of Public Safety, State Police Division. She was a member for many years of the Newington Theater Group working behind the scenes and portraying characters on stage. MaryAnn always enjoyed her summers at her home in Old Saybrook and, for those who knew her well, she was a collector of teddy bears and at her request they will now go to CT Children's Medical Center for children to enjoy. She was predeceased by her mother and leaves behind her father, Michael A. LeRoy of Wethersfield, her sisters Barbara L. Rutigliano of Essex, and Janet D. LeRoy of Rocky Hill, and her nephew Joseph M. Rutigliano of Stamford. Funeral services will leave Friday (December 10th) at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. The family will receive relatives and friends TODAY (December 9th) from 4 - 7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
