Mary (Capone) Chick, 79, of East Hartford, widow of her beloved Harold A. Chick, died at home, Monday, (January 29, 2007). Born May 12, 1927 in Hartford, she was the daughter the late Andrew and Antoinetta (Ardito) Capone, and lived in East Hartford most of her life. Enjoying a lengthy and fulfilling career at the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles, Mary retired after many years of dedicated service as a supervisor of the tax department. She was predeceased by her brother Angelo P. Capone. She is survived by her brother Stephen Capone and his wife Rachel, her sister-in-law Elizabeth Capone, her brothers-in-law Richard Chick and Peter Chick, her nieces and nephews Diane Capone, Marilyn and Frank Nicotera, Jeff Capone, and Stephen and Susan Capone, and her great nieces and nephews, Melissa and Todd Whitaker, and Rebecca Nicotera and her fiancé Jeff Gerent. She also leaves many wonderful great-great nieces and nephews. Victoria, Jake and Luke held a special place in her heart. In her later years, her dog Molly was a cherished companion. Funeral services are Wednesday, January 31, 10:30 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
