Judith Ann Libby, died peacefully, on October 12, 2022 at home on her 85th birthday. Judy was a survivor of the Hartford circus fire. She was the daughter of the late Richards and Juliette (Potosky) Libby. She was predeceased by her brother Lawrence R. Libby. Judy grew up and spent most of her life in Wethersfield graduating from WHS class of 1955. After graduating from Tuffs University, she received her Masters from Trinity College writing her thesis on C.S. Lewis and from the University of Hartford.
Judy’s was as a teacher at Hall High School and she was a lifetime parishioner of First Church of Christ in Wethersfield and sang in their choir. Judy was a philanthropist and spent a lifetime of charitable giving.
Judy would like to thank all her caregivers for their support in allowing her to spend her last years at home. Donations can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice in Judy’s name. In respecting Judy’s wishes, her services were private.
