John Peluso, 84, of Rotonda West, FL and formerly West Hartford, beloved son of the late Carmine and Cristina (Tiberio) Peluso, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 after a brief illness. Born in Sepino, Campobasso, Italy on December 24, 1934, he lived in West Hartford for many years prior to moving to Florida nine years ago. Along with his brothers Angelo and Luigi, John was the owner and operator of Parma Restaurant in Glastonbury (formerly in Hartford) for more than 35 years, where they made countless lifelong friends and treated all their customers like family. In his retirement, John fell in love with the beach and spent countless hours lost in its beauty.
John will be forever missed by his brother, Luigi Peluso and wife Grace of Punta Gorda, FL; his sister, Filomena DiGiacomo of West Hartford; two sisters-in-law, Sally Peluso and Pasqualina Peluso, as well as many dear nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers, Anthony Peluso and Angelo Peluso and his sister and brother-in-law, Pasqualina and Richard Sevigny.
Funeral services will begin on Saturday (February 2) at 9 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish at St. Brigid Church, 1088 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
