Jacqueline Brittain (Currie) McKelvie, 92, of Wethersfield, beloved wife for 67 years of Thomas R. McKelvie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 13, 2015 with her family by her side. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on August 10, 1923, she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Wyper) Currie. Jacqueline was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She proudly emigrated from Scotland in 1948. A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her husband Thomas; two daughters, Lorna Mutty and husband Mitchell of South Windsor and Sandra Bacon and husband John Bacon, Jr. of Hamden and her adored grandson, John J. Bacon, III. She is also survived by her son-in-law, David Richards of PA. She was sadly predeceased by her beloved daughter, Donna Lynn Richards.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday (December 23) at 11:00 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
