Guy Bedrossian, 78, of Florida and formerly of Wethersfield, beloved husband of Sarah ""Sallie"" (Smith) Bedrossian for 48 years, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday (July 5, 2011). Born on April 1, 1933 in Hartford, Guy was the son of the late Richard and Sara (Donabedian) Bedrossian. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne and during his time in the service he coached an Army football team. He earned an MBA from Cornell University where he was captain of the football team. He owned and operated Compak, Inc. in New England and EFC, Inc. in Waterbury for many years. Guy was a member of the Knights of St. George and the Cornell Club. Besides his wife Sallie, Guy is survived by his children: Peter of Philadelphia, PA, Barry and his wife Erin of Burlington, and Sara Clark and her husband Thomas of Cleveland, OH; his beloved granddaughter Molly, who affectionately called him ""pagrand""; his brother Vasken Bedrossian of Hartford; and his sister Elizabeth Miller of Hawaii. He was predeceased by his brother Peter.
Services will begin on Friday (July 8) at 10 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service at St.George Armenian Church, 22 White Street, Hartford. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
