Gloria Ann (Mazzafera) Capobianco, 94, widow of Rocco T. Capobianco, of Ocala, FL and formerly of Wethersfield, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Gloria was born in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maria (Fortunato) Mazzafera. She attended and graduated St. Patrick’s School, class of 1942 and Hartford Public School, class of 1946. She had worked at the Youth Center Children’s Clothing Store, in Hartford, in addition to running the family business, R.T. Capobianco Plumbing and Heating Company, after Rocco’s passing. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick - St. Anthony Church and had been involved in the Morannese Ladies Society, St. Anthony’s Ladies Society of Hartford, the Sons of Italy, Our Lady of Grace Society and was one of the committee officers for the Hartford Public High School Class Reunion Committee.
Gloria is survived by her sons; Thomas G. Capobianco and Laura of Ocala, FL and Jeffrey J. Capobianco and Cynthia of Windsor, CT, her brother, Anthony C. Mazzafera of Ocala, FL, her seven grandchildren; Nicole, Rocco, Christina, Andrew, Thomas, Christopher and Jake and her precious ten great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited Thursday, January 26, 2023 for a time of visitation from 8:00-10:00 AM at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Patrick - St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 285 Church St., Hartford.
