Frances (Zematis) Baltimore, 95, formerly of Rocky Hill, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, September 20, 2019. Born in Hartford on July 29, 1924, she spent her childhood in North Canton. Frances was the daughter of the late Frank and Martha (Tadeojaitis) Zemaitaitis. In 1950 she married the love of her life, the late Angelo Baltimore. Frances began her work career at the Underwood Typewriter Corporation, eventually working for and retiring from the State of Connecticut as a Payroll Clerk.
Frances was a loving, beautiful and strong woman, inside and out. She was hard working, generous and above all, dedicated to her family. She also loved her friends, especially those who were members of the “Chit Chat Club”, all of whom predeceased her. One of her greatest joys was spending time at the cottage in Chalker Beach, Old Saybrook with her family and friends. She loved long rides in the countryside in any season, but especially in the fall when the leaves were changing colors. She truly enjoyed traveling, and even later in life she was able to visit her homeland of Lithuania. In addition she also enjoyed a good game of Scrabble, any word games, playing Bingo and trips to Mohegan Sun.
She will forever be missed by her beloved son Anthony and his wife Mary Baltimore of Dunedin, FL, and their children, Derek and his wife Denise, Deanna and Lea MaDueno; her loving daughter Lorraine Baltimore of Vernon, her granddaughter Rachel and her great-granddaughters, Angelina and Adrianna, as well as several nieces and nephews. Frances was also predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday (September 26) from 9 to 10 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the St. Josephine Bakhita Parish-St. James Campus, 767 Elm Street, Rocky Hill. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. A special thank you to the staff of Glastonbury Health Care for the care and comfort they gave her.
Memorial contributions in memory of Frances may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT 06492
