Florence (Tresham) Tripp, 99, of Wethersfield, wife of the late Howard B. Tripp, died Sunday (December 16, 2007). She was born November 1, 1908, in Brooklyn, NY, and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Violet (Stevens) Tresham. She was a graduate of Teachers College in Stroudsburg, PA and taught in a one room school house in Lakeville. She was a representative for the former New York Telephone retiring many years ago. She was a long time faithful communicant of the Wethersfield United Methodist Church, a member of the Wethersfield and Newington Art League. She is survived by her two sons: Peter Tripp and his wife Paula of Glastonbury and Jeffrey Tripp and his wife Catherine of Hebron; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Kimberly, David and Brienne; great grandchildren, Syndey and Kayri; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Tresham. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Wethersfield United Methodist Church, 150 Prospect Street, Wethersfield, with the Rev. Thomas J. Vencuss officiating. The burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
