David A. Dolge, 13, beloved son of Brian D. and Johanna (Saltarelli) Dolge of Wethersfield, ended his earthly journey, Monday, (August 21, 2006) with his loving family by his side. David was born December 30, 1992 in Hartford. He was a student at Silas Deane Middle School in Wethersfield and as a very young boy was in the Cub Scouts. David loved sports. He played Soccer and Baseball with the Town of Wethersfield Youth League and Basketball with the CYO Incarnation Boys League. David was an Altar Server at the Church of the Incarnation, Wethersfield and an avid New York Yankee fan. Besides his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Gilda (Bruno) Saltarelli of Rocky Hill and was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Luca Saltarelli and paternal grandparents, Herman H. and Pauline B. Dolge. David is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Nancy and Thomas Catricala, cousins Linda and Vinny, uncles, Joseph Saltarelli and Jeffrey Dolge, great aunt and uncle, Valentina and Giulio Cessario of Rocky Hill, Mary and Jeffrey Levine of Rocky Hill, who were like a loving aunt and uncle to David, as well as many other cousins, among them very special and dear cousins, Giulio, Eileen, Nino, John and Gina Cessario. David's family would like to thank the doctor's, nurses and staff at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center, the Interim Health Care and Pedi Pals. A very special thank you to Dr. Eileen Gillan, Dr. Michele Kleiman, nurse,Meghan Kelly, Andrea Cole, Myesha Cockfield, Laura Carnein, Beth Dunn, Elise Gunning, Jim Chmura, Christine Cross, Tim Gilbert and Claire Rolundo. A special thank you to the faculty and staff at Silas Deane Middle School, Wethersfield, especially, David's tutor, Aaron Alder. Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, Wethersfield. The burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are TODAY from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
