Coralis Gonzalez Delgado, 31, beloved daughter of Maria Luz Delgado Reyes and Wilfredo Gonzalez Vargas - entered into God’s care on June 14, 2024 with her family by her side in Cleveland, Ohio after a courageous battle with cancer.
Coralis was born in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, previously residing in Hartford, Connecticut before settling in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated in 2007 from Moylan Elementary, and in 2011 from Watkinson School. In Watkinson School, Coralis was a member of the volleyball team as well as the softball team. She even won an award in her senior year as ‘Most Improved Player – Girls Varsity Softball’. Coralis also attended Cleveland State University in 2012-2014. She enjoyed spending time playing board games, video games, watching anime - and playing softball, volleyball, and badminton. She also loved to share time with friends, and her special humor brought comfort to others. Coralis could find joy and comfort in any of the little things - she loved movies, nature, and art.
Coralis worked for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, as a Customer Service Representative, bracing through daily obstacles to help people in whatever they needed. But that’s what she did, anywhere & everywhere she went. She was always going the extra mile to help whenever she could - and whoever she could. It’s what made her guiding light shine bright as a big sister, daughter, and loving friend. She was always kind and helpful.
She will be remembered for her selfless, generous, kind and good natured spirit – it blended in with her determined and feisty latina attitude that allowed her to persevere through life’s challenges.
In addition to her beloved parents, she is also survived and will be dearly missed by her sibling; Wilfred Dariec Gonzalez of Wethersfield, and her cat – Samurai (Sammi). She also leaves a host of loving cousins and dear friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 9 – 12PM followed by a Prayer Service at 12PM at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, CT. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery - Hartford, CT.
