Beatrice (DiPrato) Avery

Beatrice (DiPrato) Avery, 86, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Thomas H. Avery, passed away peacefully, Wednesday (July 25, 2012) at her home, with her devoted family by her side. She was born June 17, 1926 in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Antonio and Antonette (Bonadies) DiPrato. Bea was a 50 year member of the First Church of Christ, Wethersfield. She enjoyed traveling, reading, knitting and was an avid fan of the Hartford Whalers and UCONN women’s basketball. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, friends and especially her six grandchildren. She is survived by her children, son, Scott Avery and wife, Susan of Burlington, daughter, Dorian Jones and husband, John of Somers and son, Thomas Avery and wife, Linda of Wethersfield and her six cherished grandchildren, Austin, Adam, Melissa, Thomas, Heather and Kevin. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Marilyn DiPrato and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at The First Church of Christ, 250 Main Street, Wethersfield. The burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
