Ana Maria Martinez

Ana Maria Martinez Collazo, 75 years old, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother of Wethersfield, went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2023. Ana was born in Puerto Rico and lived most of her life in Hartford where she served as a dedicated social worker in her community. Ana was a vivacious spirit and known for her feisty attitude and amazing cooking. She was a God-fearing woman who greatly cherished her family and friends with every ounce of her soul. “Ana Martinez” will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children; Maria Mendez Torres, Lionel Mendez, Jeannette Mendez, Karla Medina and Jenniffer Martinez, along with ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded by her parents Adelina Ramos and Isidro Collazo, along with eighteen brothers and sisters.

Ana’s family would like to express their deep gratitude to the D’ Esposo staff for their wonderful care and to the many friends and family that have expressed their prayers, acts of kindness and support.

Family and friends are invited to Ana’s Celebration of Life this Sunday, January 15, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard in Wethersfield, Connecticut.
