Tom and Tweeter bought my childhood home, in Pearl River, from my parents in  1991.   My Mom loved that house and was so happy to have handed it off to the Moran's - she just had a good feeling about the Moran Family.   They exchanged Christmas cards for many years.    I enjoyed seeing the pictures of Tom supporting Penn State as two of my children have been Nittany Lions, as well.  I am sorry to hear of Tom's passing and keep his family in our prayers. 

I grew up with Tommy in the Bronx and we were  inseparable. Tommy was always the voice of reason .  Our youth was filled  excitement and adventures not meant for  a group of guys raised in the projects. It was magic, there were camping trips and boat excursions and visits to their summer home in jersey. We went to more concerts then I could remember. We were blessed. Tommy’ s kind and gentle demeanor was steadfast his whole life very admirable to say the least. God speed my friend I will always cherish  our times together on this earth .

I worked for Tom at Verizon and over time we became friends.  I'm sure a lot of people say that about Tom.  Of all his character traits what I will remember most was his compassion for others - he cared about the people around him and it showed.   After hours he loved to talk about his family.   He always spoke affectionately about Tweeter and proudly about the boys.   It was heartbreaking to learn about his medical issues and his passing is painful to those of us who felt such affection for him.   I will continue to think of him and I feel lucky to have known him and been his friend.

Sorry for your loss and prayers for your family.  I worked with Tom at Verizon and I love the picture on this site because it's EXACTLY how I remember Tom all the time--smiling.   I really enjoyed working with him and was fortunate to have the opportunity to do so for many years.  He was smart, kind, & sharing.
I've thought about him and prayed for him often and am really sorry for what he's been through.  I wish you peace...

Tom,
Was a great boss and worked hard to help the merger of GTE and Bell Atlantic for was operator services before the merger.  He will always be remembered. 

I was a few years older than Tommy 
We lived in the same building , so I watched him grow up.  We liked the same music and we liked to talk about the musicians of the day. He kept growing.  So we affectionately called him Monster cause he was so tall.
I looked after him cause he was a younger brother, not just a friend. I will miss his hearty laugh.  Farewell my friend. 

Tom was our friend for nearly 40 years.  He was such a good person.  He loved his family worked hard to make sure they had a good life. He was a fun friend to be with and had a kind way about him.  He brought much  to his friendship..  It was always good to listen to the stories of his and Tweeter’s  adventures and trips, His devotion to his family is reflective of the man he was.  He was and all around “great guy”.  So long our dear friend; we will think of you often.....
