Thomas John Carbone

Thomas John Carbone, 93 , of Washington Township, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023. Beloved husband of Marie Carbone. Devoted son of the late Giovanni and Antoinette (Grandolfi) Carbone. Loving father of John Carbone of Middletown, NY, Margaret Ann Carbone of Washington Towsnship and the late Paul Carbone. Dear brother of Margaret Carbone of Fullerton, CA, Ann O'Donnell of Hasbrouck Heights and Lillian Schifano of Tuscon, AZ

He was a resident of Washington Township for 58 years. Thomas spent his entire 40 year career as a truck driver with Roadway Express. He enjoyed spending time at the bagel store in town with his buddies. He will be sorely missed and he expressed how much he will miss them as well.

He served in the Army during the Korean War and received two gold stars. Thomas was a member of the VFW and Knights of Columbus.

Visitation at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood on Wednesday, October 18 from 6- 8 pm. A Service will be held on Thursday, October 19, at 10 am at the funeral home, followed by the burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Valley Hospice, Ridgewood, NJ.
