Susan Beatrice Sugrue

Susan Beatrice Sugrue (89), of River Vale, died peacefully on January 19, 2024. The loving daughter of Doctor and Mrs. Francis Keckeissen, she was born in the Bronx, New York raised in Yonkers, New York and graduated from Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York with a BA in fine arts. She was pre-deceased by her late husband, John J. Sugrue, and is survived by: Beloved children – Timothy (Marisa), Catherine (Arthur) Silcher, John (Gail), Amy (Kevin) Downes, Christopher (Debra), and Gail (Mark ) Pascale; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, who were the apples of her eye; cherished sisters – Marjorie (the late Grosvenor) White, and Linda (Charles) Kroha; brother-in-law, James (Justine) Sugrue, and sisters-in-law, Sr. Mary Sugrue, S.C., and Sr. Noreen Sugrue, S.C. Susan loved the outdoors and had many talents, including gardening, cooking, sewing, and painting. She was best known for her fierce determination in overcoming any obstacle.
