Shirley M. Terwilliger

TERWILLIGER, Shirley M., 62, of Hillsdale, NJ, passed away on Sunday, December 11th, 2016. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 37 years Bruce, dear children Jacqueline Spitz and Paul Stevens, her grandchildren Michael Spitz, Rayanna Walker, Alyssa Hunter, Christian Machefsky and Nickolas Herman, sibling to Kenneth Hartwig, Raymond Hartwig and his wife Lynn, Robert Shields, Georgina Mays and her husband Ray, Paul Hartwig and his partner Dawn Bolen and John Hartwig as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings William, Thomas and Edward Hartwig. Shirley was a phlebotomist and HPAE Union President at Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood, NJ from 1989-2007. She worked over 20 years as phlebotomist and in information services at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ and most recently worked as a medical biller for Vantage Health Systems in Dumont, NJ. Shirley was proud to be a member of the Hillsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps., at one point serving as the auxiliary president. The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, Westwood, NJ on Thursday, December 15th, from 2-4 and 7-9PM with private cremation to follow.
