Ruth D. Kraus

KRAUS, Ruth D., 86, of Montvale, NJ, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Ruth was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to Albert and Martha Hanson. Beloved mother of Debra Abate and her late husband Richard, and Lisa Morante. Dear sister of William Hanson and his wife Ida, Robert Hanson, and the late Vivian Steimle and her husband Earl, the late Albert Hanson, the late Eddie Duncan and the late Isabel Schecker. Loving grandmother of Richard, Jessica, Alicia, Sondra and Kurtis. Cherished great grandmother of Andrew. She is also survivied by many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Montvale and a member of the Montvale Seniors. She was a ballroom dancer with Anchor Dance Studio in Oradell and took 1st place in many dance competitions across the country.

The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, Westwood, NJ on Wednesday, February 12, 4-8PM. The Funeral Service celebrating Ruth's life and faith will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 13 at 12:30PM. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. Memorial gifts may be made in Ruth's name to the Humane Society.
