Robert G. Limouze III “Bob”, age 77 of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2023. He was born on July 30, 1946, in Hackensack, NJ, son of the late Robert G. and Marjorie (Jacobeen) Limouze.
Bob retired after a long career as a carpenter for the family contracting business. He later worked for the Westwood Regional School district in Westwood, NJ. Bob was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a long-time member and past commander of the Ralph W. Lester VFW Post in Westwood, NJ.
Bob had many interests and hobbies, including working with stained glass, making birdhouses, and other woodworking crafts. He served as a Boy Scout leader and coached his children’s sports teams in their youth. Bob continued to volunteer in the community throughout his life. He had a love of travel and visited many islands in the Caribbean. A loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend, he will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda (Bamond) Limouze. He is survived by his children: Robert Limouze (Cecilia) of Green Cove Springs, FL, and Cheryl Rager (Blake Beaudoin) of Ellicott City, MD; his grandchildren: Emily Rager, Tyler Rager, and Bradley Beaudoin; his brother, Richard Limouze (Sandy) of Jefferson, ME; his sister, Elizabeth Enriquez (Tom Pisciotta) of Old Tappan, NJ; many nieces and nephews; and his partner, Terri Bradley.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 14, at 3:00 PM, at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 20276 Bay Vista Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 2:00PM.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 16, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ. Another funeral service will be held on Friday, November 17, at 10:00 AM, at Zion Lutheran Evangelical Church, 155 Second Avenue, Westwood, NJ, with interment immediately following, at Westwood Cemetery, 23 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood.
