Robert Wesley Frey

Robert Frey, 66, of Toms River passed away peacefully on October 26th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Carolyn (Conrad) Frey, to whom he was married for 35 years. He was the devoted father of Robert and Ean Frey. Dear brother of Kevin (Kathy) Frey. He was the cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Flinn and his father, Robert Frey.

Robert, alongside his devoted wife, raised their children in East Brunswick for nearly 28 years and migrated south to Toms River 4 years ago.

Throughout his life, he loved history, learning, and “dad jokes.” Robert was a remarkable person, wherever he was laughter was sure to follow. As an avid reader and always looking to learn, Robert enjoyed thousands of books during his lifetime, with one of his favorites being The Civil War: A Narrative by Shelby Foote. Always a voice of reason in the room, his patient and calming presence was adored by all who knew him. His thoughtful insights, advice, and compassion will be deeply missed.
