Richard Alfred Curran

Richard Alfred Curran, 89 of Hillsdale, peacefully passed away on April 14, 2024. Richard is predeceased by his loving wife Doris Curran (Volz) in 2018, His Son DJ Curran-Godwin in 2023, and his Daughter-in-law Agnes Curran in January, 2024. He is survived by his son Daniel, daughter Kathleen, daughter Patricia and son Joseph. Richard, a military veteran, proudly served in the Army from 1954 to 1956. He was an active member of the American Legion and enjoyed a life-long career in the Boy Scouts of America, first as a scout then many years as a Scoutmaster earning him the distinguished Silver Beaver award. He enjoyed travelling as well and was fortunate to have visited many countries in four continents through his career. He was a lover of all cuisines, especially the spicier ones (never hot enough!), so in memory, enjoy your favorite meal with a bottle of hot sauce, a pint of Guiness and a big smile.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 21 from 4pm-8pm at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ 07675. A gathering of friends and relatives will occur Monday, April 22, 2024 from 10:00am to 10:30am at Becker Funeral Home followed by a procession to Westwood Cemetary, 23 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ 07675.
