Peter A. Seibel

Peter Adam Seibel, 80, of Woodcliff Lake, NJ passed away on July 20, 2023, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Pete was born to parents, Peter and Marie Seibel, on October 4, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from LaSalle High School in 1960. He graduated with a degree in business from LaSalle University, and then earned an MBA at Temple University. After finishing school he joined the US Marine Corps Reserves where he served as a Sergeant. After leaving the Marine Reserves, he worked as an auditor for ARCO, LosAngeles, Anaconda, New York, and as Chief audit director at Warnaco, NY, for 15 years. In 1971 Pete married Carolyn Memoli and went on to have 1 child, Colonel Adam Seibel.

Pete served as a mediator for FINRA in retirement. He was an avid member of his beloved Hobbyist group and loved hiking, bowling, and golf, as well as organizing trips for the group. He was also a member of Woodcliff Lake Seniors and the Golden Age Club of Northvale, NJ. At the R.C. Church of Presentation, Pete was an active parishioner for many years. He loved to read, with a special interest in history, and traveled with his wife, Carolyn, extensively.

Pete was predeceased by his mother, Marie, and father, Peter Seibel, and older brother, John Seibel. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Seibel, (née Memoli); son Colonel Adam Seibel and his wife Dr. Jamila Seibel (née Stanton); sister in-law Bernadette Cusack (née Memoli); 3 nieces; 2 nephews as well as many cousins and dear friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm, July 26, at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10am, July 27, at R.C. Church of the Presentation, 271 W. Saddle River Rd., Upper Saddle River, NJ.
