Patrick Sabella

SABELLA, Patrick, 92, of Harrington Park, NJ, formerly of Dumont, NJ, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013. He was born and raised in West New York, NJ to Guarino and Carmela Sabella. Beloved husband of Rita Sabella. Devoted father of Linda Schuette and her husband Walter and Lisa Badach and her husband Glen. Dear brother of Ann, Eva and the late Peter, Teresa and Michael. Loving grandfather of Christa Beety and her husband Brian, Laura Schuette and her fiance, Brian Mielke and Dean Badach. Cherished great grandfather of David, Kylie and Paul Mielke. Patrick was the proud owner over 45 years to both the OK Deli in Jersey City and Arent’s Deli in Emerson. He served our country proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Patrick was also an avid sports fan, in particular a devoted Yankee fan to his very last day. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Patrick’s life and faith will be at Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church, Harrington Park, NJ on Wednesday at 11AM. Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery, Westwood, NJ. Memorial gifts may be made in Patrick’s name to either the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
