Mrs. Patricia Ann Woodward

Mrs. Patricia A., (nee Dean) 75, a former resident of Bergenfield, where she resided for most of her life, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. She lived in Westwood for the past 20 years.

She was a loving mother to her four children Bernadette, Thomas, Christopher & Timothy, her son-in- law Vincent and daughters-in-law Linda & Lee Ann. Proud grandmother to Kaila, Rebecca, Haley, Tyler, Shaina, Jayna, Brandon and Jordan.

Pat entered the convent at age 13 where she made her vows with the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth in Convent Station, NJ. She left the convent at 21 to care for her mother and was married in 1964 to the late Thomas G. Woodward, Sr. at St. Johns in Bergenfield. Patricia’s career as a beloved teacher, singer and former nun was often compared to Julie Andrews, in The Sound of Music. Her beautiful voice was recognized by thousands who acknowledge her singing talents by coming from nearby communities.

The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood NJ on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 4-8 pm. Funeral Liturgy at St. Andrews Church, Westwood, NJ on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 10:30 am. Interment, George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
