Patricia E. Bilz

Patricia E. Bilz, 86, of Park Ridge, NJ, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018. She was born in Yonkers, NY to James and Ellen Clifford. Beloved wife of Walter J. Bilz. Devoted mother of Ellen M. Heasley and her husband Kirk E. She is predeceased by her son, Stephen J. Bilz. Dear sister of Eileen Price and the late Margaret “Peggy” Reilly. She is also survived by her many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews. Patricia E. Bilz was born and raised in Yonkers New York and graduated from Saunders high school. She met her husband, Walter J. Bilz through a coworker at Metropolitan Life in Manhattan, New York. They married in November 1954 and just celebrated their 64 year wedding anniversary. Patricia and Walter moved to Park Ridge in 1959 where she resided for the last 59 years. While raising her family in Park Ridge she became an active member of the Girl Scouts. She was a Girl Scout leader for several years and the religious coordinator for the camping trip’s. She also worked as an Administrator, at the Park Ridge Borough Hall, for the water and electric department, for over 20 years. In this position she was also the union delegate for several years. Patricia was an active parishioner at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Park Ridge, NJ. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Thursday, December 27 from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Patricia's life and faith will be held at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Park Ridge, NJ on Friday, December 28 at 10AM. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY. If you choose not to send flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Association of NJ.
