Margaret D. Monaco

Margaret D. Monaco (Labozzetta), 92 of Cranford, passed away on February 11, 2014. Born in NYC, NY, she lived in Brooklyn, NY and Hillsdale, NJ before moving to Cranford. Margaret was a sales associate for A&S and then became a clerk for Metlife before retiring in 1983.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph W. Monaco in 1991 and her daughter-in-law, Denise Monaco in 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia DeFilippis and her husband Michael; her son Peter Monaco; her sister, Marie Marino; her grandchildren, Alison Lorenz and her husband Michael, Kristin Fu and her husband Jia-Lin, Joseph Monaco and his wife Michele and Alex Monaco and her great grandchildren, Willamena and Ryan Lorenz and Lillian Fu.

Visiting hours will held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Becker Funeral Home. A funeral service will held on Saturday 9:30am at the funeral home with the interment to follow in Ocean View Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association www.heart.org in Margaret’s memory.
