Kathy Sova

SOVA, Kathleen (nee Krey), 61, of Salisbury, MD, formerly of Hillsdale, NJ, passed away on Monday, September 13th, 2021. Kathy was the loving mother of Stacey of Ellicott City, Baltimore, MD, and Jonathan of Laceyville, PA; cherished grandmother to Kayli; devoted daughter to father Philip W. Krey of Hillsdale, NJ; beloved sister to Mary Jo Krey, Philip Krey and his wife Lisa, Michael Krey and his wife Christine, and Patrick Krey as well as a dear aunt to Alicia Krey, Devon Krey, and Liam Krey. She is predeceased by her mother Dolores Krey.

A graduate of Villanova University, Kathy worked for Dun & Bradstreet in New York City before moving to Maryland, and later worked as a credit analyst for Fulton Bank in Delaware. Friends and family will remember Kathy’s vibrant personality and enthusiasm for life, sense of humor, enjoyment of the outdoors, and passionate devotion to her children. She deeply cherished her long-standing friendships and the greatest joy in life was her grandchild Kayli.

The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ on Saturday, September 18th from 3-6PM with private cremation to follow. A Memorial Mass celebrating Kathy's life and faith will be held on Tuesday, September 21st at St. John The Baptist R.C. Church in Hillsdale, NJ at 10AM with inurnment at Ascension Cemetery in Airmont, NY to follow.
