Kathryn A. Hamman

HAMMAN, Kathryn A. (nee Rider), of River Vale, NJ, formerly of Albany, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 17th, 2018. Kathryn is survived by her beloved daughters Linda and Robin, loving sister to the late William and Harry Rider; her nieces and nephews Brian Rider, Karen Coleman, Linda Keane, Rosemarie Baker, William Rider, Barbara De Rizzo, Michael Rider and the late Christopher Rider as well her dear cats, Felix and Oscar. She is predeceased by her husband Robert and son Robert Jr.

Kay loved to garden, cook and craft with her daughter Robin as well as being actively involved in the Liturgy Environment Ministry with both Linda and Robin at St. John the Baptist Church. Kay was always regarded as the epitome of elegance and grace. Prior to her retirement, Kay was an administrative assistant at Cosa Corporation in Montvale, NJ.

The family will receive their guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Sunday, January 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass celebrating Kathryn's life and faith will be held at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Hillsdale, NJ on Monday, January 22nd at 11AM. Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery, Westwood, NJ.. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution can be made in Kathryn's name to St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 69 Valley Street, Hillsdale NJ 07642.
