June E. Hanna

June Emelyn Hanna (nee Stalter), passed away on March 1, 2023 with her family by her side after an extended illness. June was born on July 15, 1938 to Elmer and Marjorie Stalter (nee Schwenker). She graduated in the first graduating class from Pascack Valley High School in 1956 and went on to study accounting at Fairleigh Dickenson before taking a job at Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River, NY. Soon after she met the love of her life, John “Jack” William Hanna and was the devoted mother of John, Gary, Greg and Jeff. She is predeceased by her parents, Elmer and Marjorie, and her husband Jack. She is survived by her sister and husband Patricia and Jim Hopper, her sons John and wife Cheryl, Gary and wife Margaret, Greg and wife Ann and Jeff and wife Kathleen. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Michelle, Courtney, April, Ashley, Jackie, Kathleen, Kimberly, John, Liam, Nolan and three great grandchildren Isabella, Abigail and Caroline. June enjoyed baking and was known for her apple pie and carrot cake. She also loved making and teaching crafts including knitting and pottery. Her larger than life smile will be missed by all that knew her.

A visitation for June will be held Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 112 North Main Street, Pearl River, NY 10965. A committal service will occur Monday, March 6, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652.
