

Joseph John Terminiello, 89, of Long Branch, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, March 9 2012 peacefully in his sleep. He was born at home in Hoboken New Jersey on January 26, 1923 to Ralph and Anna (Persico) Terminiello. He is a veteran of World War II, and graduated from Demarest High School. He also attended the Academy of Aeronautics, at LaGuardia airfield, where he studied airplane mechanics. He Lived in Bergen County NJ for 41 years and ran a successful business, Valley Plumbing and Heating. He then relocated to Hasbrouck Heights, Mahwah NJ, where he lived with his wife, Vera (Niscia) Terminiello, of 63 years. He spent the last 15 years of his life at the shore where he continued to work at his profession as a licensed master plumber. He is survived by his devoted wife Vera, his beloved daughter Joanne Elizabeth Pirro, and his son-in-law John Philip Pirro. He was the adored Poppy of Emily Marie Michaela, John Joseph, and Michael Eric Pirro. He was predeceased by his loving parents, his brother Ralph Terminiello, and sisters Theresa Esposito and Anna Scozzafava. He was Uncle Joe to his nieces and nephews, and known as Joe from the Valley to all. He loved to travel, make people laugh, and his work. "We will dearly miss our wonderful husband, daddy and Poppy".We invite all relatives and friends to honor his memory on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, from 1:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 at Becker Funeral Home 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 10:00 AM from the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Washington Township, NJ. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, New Jersey.
