Mr. Regan was born and raised in New York and lived there until his enlistment in the United States Army in 1940. A proud veteran of World War ll, Joseph served with the First Infantry Division also known as The Big Red One. Mr. Regan saw combat in Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, Belgium and Germany. He was awarded two Bronze Stars along with numerous other medals and citations.
While stationed in England Joseph met and married his wife Lillian Doris Regan. After the war, Mr. Regan worked as a truck driver for several different companies before his retirement in 1985 from the Pantasote Company in Passaic, NJ.
During his life, Mr. Regan had been a member of Saint Nicholas Parish in Passaic, NJ, where he was a Boy Scout Troop Leader.
Joseph was predeceased by his beloved wife Lillian Doris. He is survived by his daughter Denise and her husband Kenneth of Albuquerque, New Mexico, his son Roger and his wife Joyce of Old Bridge, NJ along with five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9PM. The family will gather with their relatives and friends for the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church, Twp. of Washington, NJ on Saturday at 10:30AM.
