Joseph Anthony Polito

Joseph Anthony, 96 of Waldwick, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2017. He was born in Jersey City, NJ to John and Mary Polito. Beloved and cherished husband to Ellen Elizabeth Polito (deceased, February 2013). Devoted and loving father to John T. Polito, Thomas G. Polito and his husband Jorge Becerra, and Beth Spinato and her husband Michael. Loving and cherished “Gramps” to Chris and his wife Marisa, Scott and his wife Jenn, Kellen and his wife Arielle, Sean and his fiancé Nicole, and Taylor Polito; and, Michael and his wife Colleen, Chris and his wife Chrissy and Tracey Spinato. Cherished Great Grampa of Grace Ellie Polito.

Joseph was a 61 year resident of Waldwick, NJ and a parishioner of St. Luke’s R.C. Church in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ. Joseph was a devoted and loving husband who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his cherished “Ellie” and his children, grandchildren and great granddaughter.

The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkermack Road, Westwood, NJ on Monday from 3 – 7:30 PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Joseph’s life and faith will be on Tuesday at St. Luke’s R.C. Church, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ at 11 AM with interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
