Joseph Louis Bizarro Jr., age 65, of Parker, Colorado passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024. Joe was born in Jersey City, NJ, and raised in Westwood, NJ. He was a proud member of the Westwood HS Marching Band, something that became a family tradition, fundraising for trips to Europe and traveling across the state. After graduating from William Paterson College with major in accounting and a minor in computer science, he went on to work for Scholastic Books and Philips North America. He and his former wife, Christine, raised two beautiful daughters, Kayleigh and Joanna, and Joe took on the role of stay-at-home parent shortly after Kayleigh was born. No matter where they moved, Joe always found a way to give back to the community, from citizen patrol training and fundraising for the Food Bank of NJ to supporting the girls in their sports and activities. He was also the Treasurer/Controller for the Reformed Church of Oradell, a role he kept no matter where he lived. Throughout college and even while working as an accountant, Joe had a love for food service, and waited tables at La Crepe in Paramus, NJ, for 12 years, so when he returned to work in 2016, he went back to his first love and began work at Culver's Family Restaurant in Parker, CO. His Culver’s family was an important part of his life, and they join his immediate family in mourning his loss and celebrating his life. Joe had a passion for his NY Giants and NY Mets, and maintained that loyalty no matter where he lived. He also had a passion for bowling, and was a league bowler for almost 40 years. He loved numbers and statistics, and often entertained his customers with sports trivia and Dad jokes. He was always happy to chat for a few minutes and make people smile.
Joe is survived by his daughters, Kayleigh and Joanna; his mother, Betty Bizarro; his sister, Barbara (Jim) Werner and their children, Erik (Casie) Werner and Jamie (Chris) Timmons; his brother, Jay (Caryn) Bizarro and their children, Justin Bizarro, Jillian (Brady) Diffee (and their son, David), and Caroline Bizarro; and his former wife, Christine Bizarro. His father, Joseph Sr., predeceased him. He also leaves behind his Glen Brook Farm family, generations of close friends who have connected every summer for over 50 years to enjoy a relaxing vacation/reunion together in Upstate NY. He was taken too soon and will be missed by many.
