Born in 1936 to John and Erni Schott, Bob grew up in Ridgefield Park, NJ and graduated from Ridgefield Park High School. He studied electrical engineering and graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
Bob worked in the Flight Systems division of Bendix/AlliedSignal/Honeywell. During his time away from work he enjoyed traveling with his wife and children. He was a volunteer Boy Scout leader for Troop 36 and served on church council. Bob loved trains and music. He sang tenor in his church choir for years, often tapping his fingers to the music. He enjoyed reading, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, as well as time outdoors in the garden or at the grill.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Schott. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Margaret (Gerdes) Schott and by his children Lynn Schott, Jeanne (Randy) Edwards, sister-in-law, Betty Hancock and nephew, Jeff (Irene) Hancock.
