With sadness and love, we announce the passing of John Oberg of Westwood, NJ. He passed at age 82 on October 1, 2023.
John was preceded by his beautiful wife, Josephine Ganci Oberg, who died on March 9, 2021. He is survived by his 5 daughters; Debra Oberg, Susan Oberg, Kim Oberg, Karen Borenius and Candice Oberg-Wurst; 2 son-in-laws James Borenius and Kevin Wurst; and 8 loving grandchildren. Working at John’s local family owned business was his greatest joy. He enjoyed serving the community for over 60 years at Oberg & Lindquist. John’s spirit and smile will be missed by all.
In honor of John, there will be a remembrance gathering between 5:00 and 7:00PM for close family and friends at Zion Lutheran Church in Westwood on Thursday, October 5. Following the gathering, a short mass will be held at 7:00PM.
