Joan A. Hliboki

Joan A. Hliboki (Antes) “Oma”, 80 years old of Old Tappan, NJ passed away on December 3, 2012. Born in the Bronx, NY, she lived in Dumont before moving to Old Tappan 52 years ago. Joan was a member of the Old Tappan Golf Club, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Old Tappan Fire Dept., a Eucharistic minister for Immaculate Conception Church, Norwood, NJ, she also volunteered at Pascack Valley Hospital, HUMC North, Westwood, NJ and was a avid bowler, golfer and bridge player. She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Joe Hliboki; her loving children, Ellen Najjar and her husband Sessine, Mary Beth Schmidt and her husband Wayde, Joe Hliboki and his wife Cathy, Chris Hliboki and his wife Lorraine and Jim Hliboki and his wife Hildi; and her cherished 11 grandchildren, Daniel, Christine, Marie Claire, Austin, Helen, Jaime, Drew, Sam, Bryan, Cara and Maddie. Joan was predeceased by her brother Bob Antes and her sister, Jeannie Johnson. Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Becker Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather at Immaculate Conception Church, Norwood, NJ on Friday 10am for the funeral mass. Interment to follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
