Joan M. DiBenedetto

Joan Mary DiBenedetto, age 90, of Township of Washington, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2023. Beloved wife of Charles A. DiBenedetto, (deceased), Devoted mother of Catherine and husband Joseph Cirieco, Joyce Maia, Jeanine and husband Joseph Marrone, Anthony DiBenedetto, Michelle and husband David Deo, Charles DiBenedetto Jr, and wife Mary.

Pre-deceased by her parents, Arthur and Jeannie Sanfilippo.

Dear sister of Arthur Sanfilippo, Eleanor and husband Charles LaMonte, Estelle and husband Charles Garrison, and sister in-law Ann Sanfilippo.

Loving grandmother of Jennifer, Al, Andrew, Jordan, Monica, Justin, Amanda, Joseph, Isabelle, Michael, Liz, Brian, Paige, Lauren, Joseph, Taylor, Charlie, Lucy, and Nicole.

Joan was Born in NYC, she lived in the Township of Washington, NJ for 47 years. Joan was a Certified Financial Planner, for 37 years most recently with Royal Alliance.

She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church Township of Washington, NJ where she served as Eucharistic Minister for many years. She also hosted a prayer group in her home for members of the Parish.

The family will receive their relatives and friends on Sunday July 30th from 2pm to 6pm at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ.

A Mass celebrating Joan’s life and faith will be held on Monday July 31st at 10:30am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, in Twp of Washington, NJ. The interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, in Mahwah, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Spectrum for Living (spectrumforliving.org) or Camp Acorn (campacorn.org). These two charities were of special importance to Joan.
