Helen Louise Tursky

TURSKY, Helen L., 88, of Westwood, NJ, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016. She was born in Nanty-Glo, PA to Frank and Magdalena Smartz. Beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Tursky. Devoted mother of Joseph F. Tursky and his wife Lilyan, and Mary M. Brownrigg. She is predeceased by her son Martin J. Tursky and her daughter Janet L. Christodaylakis. Loving grandmother of seven grandchildren and cherished great grandmother of four great grandchildren. Helen was a parishioner of St. Andrew R.C. in Westwood where she was also a member of the Columbiettes, a member of the Westwood Seniors and a member of the Red Hat Society at Mill Pond in Park Ridge. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Wednesday, June 15 from 10AM-12PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Helen’s life and faith will be held at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Hillsdale, NJ following the visitation at 12:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Helen’s name to either Compassionate Care Hospice or St. John the Baptist Homebound Ministry. Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery, Westwood, NJ.
