Gloria Joan Juliana

Gloria Joan (Eberle) Juliana, a longtime resident of Emerson for over 56 years, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on March 23, 2018. She is survived by her adoring husband of nearly 61 years, Louis. Devoted mother to her children Robert, Lisa Margüerite and Thomas Juliana. Loving grandmother to her beautiful granddaughters, Ashley Driscoll and her husband Casey Driscoll, Kayla Juliana and Alessandra Juliana. Lastly, her sweet great-granddaughter, Jordyn Driscoll, was the icing on the cake. Gloria is predeceased by her beloved parents Joseph and Helen Eberle, as well as her brother Jay Eberle in addition to many Aunt’s and Uncle’s she talked about constantly. Gloria attended Pace College in NYC before going on to administrative careers with General Motors and eventually the River Vale Board of Education for over 25 years until retiring in 1998. Gloria was active in the Emerson community while raising her family where she had many generations of friendships that lasted decades. However, her real love was just spending time with her family and telling stories about her childhood and where her wonderful family originated. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday March 27 from 2-4pm as well as 7-9pm. A funeral mass celebrating Gloria’s life and faith will be held at the Church of the Assumption, 29 Jefferson Avenue, Emerson NJ on Wednesday, March 28 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the Juliana family has requested donations be made in Gloria;s memory the the Alzheimers Association, www.alz.org or The Humane Society of the United States www.humanesociety.org
