Sorry to hear of your loss.  My parents joan and walter fondly remember donald over the years and share their sympathies.

Dear Cathie, Kim, and Liz
So sorry to hear about your Dad.  I have many fond memories of my first apartment in the house on Washington Ave, you all as small girls, and especially your Dad bringing back "hard rolls" on Sunday morning.  Prayers and thoughts for you and your families.

My sincerest sympathies to Don's daughters and their families.  Cathie, Liz and Kim hold on to the good memories of him.  I hope that will carry you through these days and months ahead of you.  He loved you all so very much.  And help the children to remember him.

Donald O'Connor was one of the good guys.  He was loyal to a fault, sensitive to everyone's needs and hurts.  He gave unconditional friendship and support to my husband and I twelve years ago when it was confirmed my husband had cancer (and we were strangers) and after my husband died he gave unconditional friendship, support, caring and finally laughter to me.

Don was a great friend who was always willing to share a greeting or a funny story.  When I decided to take on landscaping my yard, which I had never done, he asked for pictures of my yard and sent me a plan - told me what to buy and when I'd completed it he said it looked as if it was done by a pro.  It didn't of course, but it made me smile.

Over the past twelve years we have shared phone calls and emails weekly, turned to each other with joys and with hurts, looked to each other for support and to combat loneliness. He taught me so much about the antique business and more recently we commiserated with each other about no longer being able to keep up with it. Our talks always ended with smiles and laughter and love.  I'll never forget the stories he told me of his lifetime. I'll never forget his humor and his love.  We  shared pictures and stories of our grandchildren  and delighted in them with each other.

My last phone conversation with him was last week when I was in Nashville for my niece's wedding.  I sent him pictures this week when I returned - and called but didn't reach him.  Now I know why.  I will miss all his emails and phone calls so much.  I will miss him greatly.  May God bless his soul and love him as I did.

Don, keep a light on for me.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. He was such a special part of the Levesques childhood, from Dave going hunting with him and us always swimming at your house and playing in the barn.  I can remember when we would put on shows for him and have him watch us in the pool!  What wonderful memories:)  Your Dad always had such a warm smile for us Levesques and we for him.  It must be a painful time for you all, but know that you all are in our prayers at this time and your Dad is resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord!

Dear Cathie, Kim and Liz, 
Your dad was so special to me...I remember his presence in my life since I was a small child.  He was the kind of person who always showed an interest in everyones' lives and never failed to have something funny or positive to say.  At the O'Connor family reunions, he was the host-with-the-most!  His enthusiastic way of expressing himself, along with those expressive bright blue eyes and big smile -- made him someone everyone wanted to talk to and be with.  I always admired how he, despite his challenges in mobility, found a way to go to college, landscape his beautiful backyard, and run his antique business.  I even remember times when (years ago) he joined my dad on some of the Boy Scout camping trips in Bear Mountain!  Your dad was a special, special person and I will never forget what he meant to me and our whole family.  I am overcome with sadness at his passing...but can't help picturing him sitting around a big kitchen table up in Heaven sharing a pot of coffee with all of the O'Connors (and my mom, who loved him too) who got there first.  Sending so much love to you all....and my warmest, most sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved dad.  My God,he will be missed...but remembered always with love.  Trish Conklin (Colucci)
