David Wayne Hughes

HUGHES, David W., 66, of Greentown , PA, formerly of Hillsdale, NJ, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014. He was born in Hackensack, NJ to Edward and Verona Hughes. Beloved husband of Charlotte Hughes. Devoted father of Lorraine Smith and her husband Bob, Dawn Smith and her husband Brian. Dear brother of Elaine Miller and her husband Harold, sister-in-law Patricia Hughes, wife of his late brother Gary Hughes. Loving grandfather of Jason, Sydney, Morgan and Parker. David was employed by the Borough of Hillsdale where he worked for the Dept. of Public of Works as a mechanic. He was a member of the Hillsdale Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Exempt Firemen’s Association. He was active in the Garden State Half Century Club, the North Jersey Tinker T’s and one of the founders of the North Jersey Regional A’s. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Sunday, December 21 from 2-6PM. The Funeral Service celebrating David’s life and faith will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 22 at 10AM. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
