

ULLRICH, Charles F., 90, of Bonita Springs, FL, Equinunk, PA, New Milford, NJ, and briefly, Dumont, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025. He was born to the late Charles Ullrich and Elsie (nee Dambach) and was raised in New Milford, NJ where he and his beloved late wife Rose Marie (nee Lex) subsequently lived and raised their family.
Charlie was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He is predeceased by his cherished daughter Lynn Annese. He is survived by his children Kathleen Hennion and her husband Robert, Anne Marie Dziados and her husband James; his son in-law Stephen Annese; his grandchildren Charles Hennion, Kevin Hennion (Kristen), Nicole Dziados (Derrick Morran), William Dziados (Ady Alatorre), Nicholas Annese (Nikolina Zekanovic) and Amy Annese and her fiancé Richard Rebori; and his great-grandchildren, Jonathan Earl, Anthony Earl, Andrew Hennion and Hudson Hennion. He is also survived by his brother, Dr. Robert C. Ullrich and wife Sonja (nee Oleson) and his sister-in-law Joanne Fontana. Charlie is also predeceased by his sister, Mary Ann Ullrich and brother in-law John Fontana.
Charlie was raised in New Milford on the family farm established in 1924 and he subsequently became the Owner/Operator of Oser’s Farm & Garden Center in New Milford until his retirement in 1986. He was a graduate of Hackensack High School and attended agricultural classes with Rutgers University Cooperative Extension.
He was an avid bowler, golfer, outdoorsman and gardener. Charlie could grow any flower and vegetable with the utmost tender care. His love for the beauty of nature never waned and he shared that love with his family. After retirement, Charlie enjoyed golf at his villa at Hunter’s Ridge in Bonita Springs, FL and time with his family at their country home in Equinunk, PA.
The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ on Wednesday, April 16th from 2-7PM. A Celebration of Charles' life will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 17th at 10AM with interment at Brookside Cemetery in Englewood, NJ to follow.
